Developed during the Song and Ming dynasties for the Imperial Court Observatory, Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗数) maps 14 Major Stars and over 90 auxiliary stars across 12 Life Palaces. Life Palace (命宫) vs Body Palace (身宫)
Your Ming Gong (命宫) governs innate temperament and early-life trajectory, while your Shen Gong (身宫) reveals the palace where your conscious focus gravitates after age 35.
The Triangle of Destiny
Never read a palace in isolation. Every palace forms a sacred trine with the palaces 4 steps away (e.g., Life + Career + Wealth) and faces its opposite palace (Travel/Social).
Four Transformations
Triggered by Heavenly Stems, Hua Lu (Prosperity), Hua Quan (Authority), Hua Ke (Reputation), and Hua Ji (Friction/Obsession) act as the dynamic catalysts of your chart.
