Zi–Wu Direct Clash (子午相冲) — Water vs Fire Meridian Axis
Zi (North · Midnight Winter Solstice Water) and Wu (South · High Noon Summer Solstice Fire) form the cardinal meridian axis of the compass. Because both contain pure, unmixed Qi (癸 Gui Water vs 丁/己 Fire), their clash represents the most decisive life pivot, relocation, or emotional awakening in BaZi.
Natal Palace Meaning
Indicates a high-energy, restless life trajectory with frequent geographical moves, cross-cultural careers, or sharp transitions between solitary introspection (Zi) and public spotlight (Wu).
Annual Cycle Impact
CRITICAL FOR 2026 (丙午年): Anyone with Zi (Rat) in their Year, Month, Day, or Hour Pillar experiences the 2026 Zi–Wu Clash directly. Day Branch Zi indicates residence/relationship shifts; Month Branch Zi indicates career role restructuring.
