Four-Pillar Palace Diagnostics: 子 (Zǐ) & 午 (Wǔ)
When evaluating Rat (子) and Horse (午) in authentic Four-Pillar synastry (合婚), classical practitioners inspect which natal palace hosts the 子–午 vector (Direct Meridian Clash (六冲) · 子午六冲). 子 governs the 11th Lunar Month (Winter Solstice) command (23:00 – 00:59 (Midnight Meridian), Due North (0°), Six-Harmony ally Ox 丑), whereas 午 anchors the 5th Lunar Month (Summer Solstice · 夏至) command (11:00 – 12:59 (High Noon), Due South (180°), Six-Harmony ally Goat 未).
Across the 12-branch ecliptic wheel, 子 (#1) and 午 (#7) sit 6 steps apart, creating a 62% baseline resonance between Yang Water (Zi Rat (子鼠) — The Midnight Navigator & Strategic Pioneer) and Yang Fire (Wu Horse (午马) — The High-Noon Sovereign & Radiant Vanguard). Introducing Wood remedies bridges the Due North (0°) and Due South (180°) sectors while stabilizing their 2026 Bing-Wu trajectories (Rat: Chong Tai Sui (冲太岁 · Direct Clash); Horse: 2026 Grand Duke Year (值太岁 / 午午自刑) + General Star (将星)).
